In Loving Memory of Darlene M. Coy

Darlene M. Coy, age 58, of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Surrounded by her family.
Dar was born on February 1, 1968, in Racine, Wisconsin, the daughter of Leroy and Viola (Willis) Henschel Sr. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1985 and began building her beautiful family shortly afterward.  After raising her children, she later attended MATC, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Accounting.
In 2007, Dar married, Ron Coy Sr. Together, they shared 10 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2017.
Dar was truly one of a kind. She loved everything Mickey Mouse and had a vast collection that brought her so much happiness. She could spend hours searching for that next special Mickey item to add to her collection.
Dar was a true people person. She was always willing to serve wherever she was needed and had a heart for caring for others. She was a caregiver, a friend to all, and the person who brought the “Fun Factor” to every family gathering. Her presence could brighten a room, and her laughter and personality were unique to her. She made memories that will never be forgotten.
Her children and grandchildren were the greatest sources of joy in her life. She cherished every moment spent with them and lived by her motto, “Happy People Style.” Dar was an avid shopper, always had a vision for what she wanted, and was never far from a camera. She was a visionary and the sky was her mosaic. She loved having her picture taken and capturing special moments with the people she loved.

Most of all, Dar thought of others constantly. She wholeheartedly believed in paying it forward and never hesitated to help someone, give to someone, or simply make someone’s day a little brighter.

Dar leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, laughter, kindness, family, and friendship. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Those left to cherish her memory include: Her daughters: Hollie Camacho of Fort Atkinson, and her children, Victoria Kaden, Valentina, Dagoberto, and Rudy. Cassandra (Juan) Rendon of Fort Atkinson, and her children, Jordan and Alana.  Witney Whiteman & (fiancé Austin Schechter) of Watertown, and her son, Kodah. Nadia (Mustafa) Ghazai of Franklin and her children, Noor, Zaid, Reem, and Amira. Her siblings Anna (Michael) Jackson of Lake Mills; Vicki Griep & Fiancé (Gary Murray) of Jefferson; Jacki (Francisco) Alonso of Fort Atkinson; Ernie (Lisa) Henschel of Horicon; Eddie (Donna) of Lake Mills; and Kevin (Crystal) of Jefferson. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, & great-nieces nephews, other relatives, and many, many friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Dar was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Viola Henschel Sr.; her husband, Ron Coy Sr.; and her brothers, Leroy Henschel Jr. and Cory Henschel.

Dar’s life was a gift to everyone who knew her. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Her beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
