Cleo L. Loftsgordon, 91 of Madison, passed away on Friday December 8, 2023 at Sylvan Crossing of Waunakee.

Cleo was born on March 27, 1932, in Trempealeau, WI, the daughter of Ervin and Ethel (Casey) Loftsgordon.  She grew up in Eau Claire, WI, but moved to Madison to attend the university there.   She earned a bachelors degree in education and later a masters in social work.  Cleo loved to read and would say "As long as you have a good book to read, you will always have a friend."  She was a loving mother, valued teacher and social worker, and dear friend to many.  She will be missed.

Cleo is survived by her daughter C. Debby Loftsgordon of Janesville, sister Marie Mueller of Chippewa Fall, WI, and number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Harvey and Sonny.

A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2024 and she will be buried in Forest Hill Cemetery of Madison.
