Carol A. Wellman

Carol A. Wellman, 72 of Jefferson, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Fort Memorial Hospital.

Carol was born on February 28, 1948 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the daughter of Henry and Doris (Palmers) Skibbe.  She attended school in Jefferson and worked in the food safety industry.  On March 27, 1985 she married John D. Wellman in Las Vegas.  The couple enjoyed 22 years of marriage until his death in 2007.  Carol was a fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers.  She was an avid bowler and loved playing cards.  Time spent with her grandchildren were always cherished by both parties.  Carol was “young at heart” her entire life and maintained her positive disposition, even as her health failed.  Carol was a wonderful mother and grandmother, but even more so, she was a true friend to all.

Carol is survived by: her children Debi Liebman of Janesville, Denise (John) Kincaid of Fort Atkinson, David (Kristy) Liebman of Jefferson, Dawn Trick of Fort Atkinson, Cherree Wellman of Middleton, and Tracey (Matt) Kelty of Edgerton; 10 grandchildren; and sisters Cherie Morgan of Jefferson, and Char (Dennis) Steindorf of Watertown.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Charles Skibbe.

A friends and family gathering will be held from 4:00PM – 6:00PM on Friday, December 11, 2020 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson.
