Brian R. Engelhart

Brian R. Engelhart, 54 of Johnson Creek, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Froedert Hospital of Wauwatosa.

Brian was born on October 9, 1968, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital, the only son of Richard and Elaine (Alexander) Engelhart.  He grew up in the Jefferson area and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1987.  Soon after graduation, Brian was hired at McCain Foods in Fort Atkinson and worked as a forklift operator from 1988 until they closed in 2014.  Most recently, he worked at OSI Industries of Fort Atkinson.  Brian loved to be outdoors and spent time on area lakes and rivers, fishing and in the woods - hunting all sorts of game.  He was a dog lover, but his favorite was his Golden Retriever, “Shadow”.  He also enjoyed watching professional wrestling on television and was a member of the Helenville Fire Department. Brian was a free spirit who loved his family and friends deeply. He will be missed.

He is survived by: his parents Richard and Elaine Engelhart of Johnson Creek; aunt Carol Roth of Fort Atkinson; cousins Ryan (Michelle) Roth of Newport, MI and Jason (Kiva) Roth of Bradenton, FL.  Brian is also survived by other family members and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Viola Alexander and Bernard and Ruth Engelhart.

A Christian funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Helenville with Rev. Titus Buelow presiding.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church.
