Beth Burke Obituary

Beth L. Burke, 55 of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022, after a courageous battle in hospice at Heritage Homes in Watertown, WI.

Beth was born June 19, 1967, in Plainfield, IL, the daughter of Edward and Delane (Overman) Burke. She attended Plainfield High School and graduated in 1985. Later in her life, she moved to Tomahawk, WI, and helped own and operate a bar and resort with her father and family. In 2022, Beth married Chris Endl after the couple spent the last 20 years together. Beth was extremely intelligent and a unique personality who danced to her own beat. She was fiercely independent yet enormously caring and was known to be very entertaining, quick witted and often hilarious. A true non-conformist, Beth lived for the moment and seized every opportunity to create a life experience. She loved to travel, play the slots, entertain company, and cook and bake for friends and family. Beth never let her disabilities or societal norms tell her how to live, and she was proud of the things she did with her life. She adored animals and children, especially her nieces who she referred to as her “girls”. Although she bravely faced many struggles on her own, Beth spent the last few weeks of her life surrounded by the love of her husband, siblings and family. She will be missed greatly by those who knew her.

Beth is survived by: her parents Edward and Delane Burke of Prentice, WI; husband Chris Endl and stepson Mason Endl of Riverside, CA; sister Ann Burke-Barber of Dallas, TX; brother Robert Burke of Hudson, WI; 2 nieces Lily Burke of River Falls, WI, and Lane Burke of Madison, WI; aunt and uncle Ruth Ann and John Fischer of Webster, NY; and cousin Karen Fischer of Webster, NY.

Beth is preceded in death by stepdaughter Evonne Endl.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
