Barbara L. Johnnson

Barbara L. Johnson, 88 of Jefferson, WI, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Sunset Ridge in Johnson Creek.

Barbara was born July 22, 1933, in Carthage, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Helen (Micek) Swain. She attended and received degrees from University of Iowa, University of Iowa and Washington University, later working as a hospital planner. After retirement, Barbara opened a quilt shop in downtown Jefferson where she made many memories and friends. She always kept busy, whether she was quilting, sewing or spending time with friends and family.

Barbara is survived by: her children Grace (Richard) Marko of Waukesha, Fredrick Chipman of Iowa City, IA, James (Shelly) Chipman of Buhl, ID; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, brother William Swain, and Mary Lee Johnson.
