Armand Arnold Prust, 83, of Jefferson, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021 at Watertown Regional Medical Center.
Armand was born on April 4, 1938 in Lake Mills to Arnold and Minnie (Meyer) Prust. He attended Lake Mills High School and graduated from Diesel Engineering School in Sun Prairie. Armand worked many years for Napa Auto Parts of Jefferson and Wisconsin Rapids. Armand married Mary Bradley on May 31, 1975 at the United Methodist Church in Jefferson, where they were still members. Armand served in the Air National Guard from 1956 to 1962. Armand loved to “shoot-the-bull” with anyone, and his job gave him the perfect opportunity to talk with old and new friends. Many summer evenings in the 80-90s were spent dancing at Lake Arrowhead with a Brandy Old-Fashioned in hand. If you hear 60s rock and roll (especially Chantilly Lace by The Big Bopper) clear a path in heaven because he is about to dance. You would often see him polka around the room with wife, Mary. He was always a good sport on Halloween, agreeing to wear nylons for his Donald Duck and Raisins costumes. He loved it when his grandkids sang “Black Socks” to him and usually called for an encore. Armand loved to play cards, Hand and Foot and Skip-Bo were among his favorites. If he caught you table-talking, he was quick to let you know, but would tell you to “never mind” if he did it himself.
Armand is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Mary Prust; children: Dana Davis (Vern) Fort Atkinson, Diann Pichotta, Fort Atkinson, step-children: Denise (Russell) Sponem, Jefferson, Donna (Dennis) Kustin, San Tan Valley, AZ, Russell (Linda) Bradley, Fall River, Tony (Carol) Bradley, Rio, and Kim (John) Shannon, Jefferson. Kristin (Ted) Dhein, Sussex, daughter-in-law: Sharon Prust, Watertown. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Armand was preceded in death by his parents, sister Evelyn Larson, and son Eldyn Prust.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson with Pastor Kellen Roggenbuck presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Armand will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery following the service.
