Andrea R. "Ruth" Wild

Andrea R. “Ruth” Wild, 76 of Jefferson, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at Meriter Hospital of Madison.

Ruth was born on September 12, 1946, in Watertown, WI, the daughter of Merlin and Margaret (Marsh) Vesper.  She attended catholic school in Watertown and married Richard Wild on February 26, 1963, in St. Paul, MN.  The couple had 5 children and enjoyed 59 years until his death earlier this year.  Ruth was extremely proud of her Native American heritage and enjoyed crafting, crocheting, and art.  She loved to fish and loved her dogs dearly.  In her younger years, Ruth loved to watch her husband in local demolition derby’s and take family camping trips throughout Wisconsin, staying in nearly all the State Parks.  She was also an avid bowler.  Ruth was a quick learner and looked for ways to expand her knowledge in a multitude of subjects.  She was a collector of all things Native American and enjoyed sharing her passion with her family and friends.  Above all other interests, family was most important to Ruth.  She will be missed.

Ruth is survived by: 4 children Keith (Tammy) Wild of Jefferson, Kristina (Douglas) Wisch of Fort Atkinson, Kerry (Candy) Wild of Paris, TX, and Kelli (David) Raiser of Watertown; 8 grandchildren Alex (Sierra), Kyle, Abi (Nathan), Jacob, Jesse (Erin), Sara (Marc), Devin (Marie), and Sethy; 4 great-grandchildren Bailee, Brycen, Everleigh, and Attaleigh; and her siblings Mary (Al) Fadroski of Jefferson, , Dan Vesper of Johnson Creek, Dave (Ann) Vesper of Johnson Creek, Pi (Bruce) Vesper of Jefferson, Denise (Rich) Vesper of Jefferson, Doloris (Matt) Vesper of Johnson Creek, and Alan (Tammy) Vesper of Johnson Creek; and her best friend and sister-in-law Jean Vesper of Watertown. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, son Kevin, grandson Hunter and siblings Georgie, Patrick, Mike, and Donovan.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held from 11:00AM – 2:00PM on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Wayside Inn of Jefferson.
