Alejandro Almaraz Sandoval, 47 de Watertown, falleció el jueves 29 de octubre de 2020 en el Hospital Fort Atkinson.
Alejandro nació el 9 de agosto de 1973 en la Ciudad de México, México, hijo de Hipólito y María (Sandoval) Almaraz. Asistió a la escuela en la Ciudad de México y en 2001 se mudó a Colorado cerca de su hermano Mario. En 2008 se mudó a Waukesha, WI. En 2010, Alejandro conoció a Amalia Macias en Pano's Fresh Market en Waukesha. Amalia trabajaba allí como cajera y la pareja se casó el 24 de mayo de 2013 en Las Vegas. Dentro de nuestro matrimonio, nació nuestra hermosa hija Emily, producto de nuestro amor. Emily era la niña de los ojos de su padre, y ella era el medio y la inspiración para que Alejandro siguiera adelante. En 2016, la pareja se mudó a Watertown y en 2018 abrieron una tienda propia: Poncho's Market en Jefferson. Alejandro era un bromista y disfrutaba haciendo que la gente se sintiera bien. Fue un eterno optimista y encontró lo mejor en cada situación. Alejandro buscaba lo mejor en las personas y ayudaba donde podía. Fue un padre maravilloso, un esposo cariñoso y alentador, y un gran trabajador. Tenía muchos amigos y familiares, y lo extrañaremos mucho.
Le sobreviven: su esposa Amalia Macias de Watertown; los niños Maritza (Jesus Loya) Almaraz de CO, Alejandro Almaraz de CO y Emily Almaraz de Watertown, WI; los padres Hipólito y María Almaraz de la Ciudad de México, México; hermanos Angel (Graciela Zendejas) Almaraz, Lidia Almaraz Sandoval, Maria (Sergio Zendejas) Refugio Almaraz, Isidro Almaraz, Emmanuel Almaraz y Brenda Almaraz todos de Colorado. También le sobreviven muchos otros familiares y amigos.
Alejandro es precedido en la muerte por su hermano Mario Almaraz.
Se llevará a cabo un funeral a las 2:00 p.m. el sábado 31 de octubre de 2020 en la funeraria Olsen-Gibson con el pastor Modesto Soto como presidente. El velorio será el sábado desde las 10:00 a.m. hasta el momento del servicio en la funeraria. Un segundo funeral se llevará a cabo en Steamboat Springs, CO en una fecha posterior y será sepultado en Steamboat Springs después del servicio fúnebre allí.
Alejandro Almaraz Sandoval, 47 of Watertown, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Fort Atkinson Hospital.
Alejandro was born on August 9, 1973 in Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Hipolito and Maria (Sandoval) Almaraz. He attended school in Mexico City and in 2001 he moved to Colorado, near his brother Mario. In 2008 he moved to Waukesha, WI. In 2010, Alejandro met Amalia Macias at Pano’s Fresh Market in Waukesha. Amalia was a working there as a cashier and the couple was married on May 24, 2013 in Las Vegas. Within our Marriage, our beautiful daughter Emily was born, a product of our love. Emily was the apple of her dad’s eye, and she was the means and inspiration for Alejandro to move forward. In 2016, the couple moved to Watertown and in 2018 they opened a store of their own – Poncho’s Market in Jefferson. Alejandro was a jokester and enjoyed making people feel good. He was an eternal optimist and found the best in every situation. Alejandro looked for the good in people and helped where he could. He was a wonderful father, a loving and encouraging husband, and a hard worker. He had many friends and family, and he will be dearly missed.
He is survived by: his wife Amalia Macias of Watertown; children Maritza (Jesus Loya) Almaraz of CO, Alejandro Almaraz of CO, and Emily Almaraz of Watertown, WI; parents Hipolito and Maria Almaraz of Mexico City, Mexico; siblings Angel (Graciela Zendejas) Almaraz, Lidia Almaraz Sandoval, Maria (Sergio Zendejas) Refugio Almaraz, Isidro Almaraz, Emmanuel Almaraz, and Brenda Almaraz all of Colorado. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Alejandro is preceded in death by his brother Mario Almaraz.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home with Pastor Modesto Soto presiding. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the funeral home. A second funeral will be held in Steamboat Springs, CO at a later date and he will be laid to rest in Steamboat Springs following the funeral service there.
