Scott M. Kramer

Scott M. Kramer, 59 of Summer Shade, KY (formally of Jefferson), died on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Jewish Hospital of Louisville, KY with his family by his bedside.

Scott was born on October 12, 1959 in Fort Atkinson, WI, the son of Frederick and Wanda (Gordon) Kramer.  Scott was a 1977 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked at Riverwood International of Fort Atkinson for 30 plus years.  After Riverwood closed, Scott moved to the state of Kentucky and most recently worked as a Mixer at Akebono of Glasgow, KY.  Scott was diagnosed with cancer in July of 2017 and he started his recovery process.  He was convinced that his battle was winnable, and Scott was a guy who took care of himself and was committed to recovery.  Scott had an entrepreneurial spirit, owning multiple small businesses in nearly every category.  The businesses included lawn service, vitamins, fuel additive, newspaper delivery, most recently his Christmas Tree farm.  Scott always had something on the side and was trying to improve himself.  Scott loved McDonald’s.  He loved their food and their process and as a child, dreamed of becoming a manager of his own McDonald’s Restaurant.   He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Dallas Cowboys fan and Scott enjoyed spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed.

He is survived by: his parents Frederick and Wanda Kramer of Jefferson; children Scott (Erica) Kramer of Madison, and Danielle Kramer of Jefferson; grandchildren Abbie, Rylie, Oliver, Quentin, Grace, and Juan; sister Patty (Dot Guensch) Kramer of Jefferson; and his German Shepherd Goliath.  Scott is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Brian at birth.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Jefferson with Rev. Joshua Martin presiding.  Visitation will be on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of service at the church.
