Pauline C. Frohmader, 88 of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital of Madison.
Pauline was born on June 19, 1930 in Deerfield, WI, the daughter of Lennie and Marcella (Berens) Quale. Pauline was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School and married Earl Frohmader on September 9, 1950 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church Parsonage. The couple loved to dance the polka and waltz and enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his death in 2011. Pauline worked many years at Borg Fabrics of Jefferson and was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She loved the outdoors and spending time in God’s Creation. She was an animal lover and enjoyed watching birds fly and rabbits play. She walked often and admired many flowers. Pauline was always busy – whether it be cleaning or helping her family, friends, and neighbors. Pauline was hesitant to move to town, but upon arrival, she loved being in this area and formed meaningful relationships with her neighbors. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by: her children James (Vicki) Frohmader of Jefferson and Patricia (Darrell) Hatcher of Portland, OR; granddaughters Tracee (Dan) Weisensel and Tami (Joe) Rueth; great-grandsons Sebastian and Maxwell; brothers Paul Quale and Donald Quale both of Jefferson; and a special niece Debbie Quale of Jefferson. She is also survived by a number of other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Louise in infancy, and brothers Robert Quale, Edward Quale, and David Berens.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church of Jefferson with Rev. Joshua Martin presiding. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00AM until the time of service at the church. Pauline will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery following the funeral service.
