Kathleen "Kathy" M, Kiesling

Kathleen M. Kiesling, 73 of Fort Atkinson, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at UW-Hospital of Madison.

Kathy was born on June 10, 1946 in Marinette, WI, the daughter of Glenn and Mae (Murphy) Rogge.  In her youth, Kathy’s family moved often, and she graduated from Antigo High School in 1964.  On November 11, 1967, she married Larry Kiesling at Fort Wainwright Army Base in Fairbanks, AK, where Larry served as an MP.  The couple had 3 children and enjoyed Wisconsin summer and wintering in Arizona.  Kathy loved those trips and enjoyed the sights and casinos on the way.  Kathy’s laugh was boisterous, memorable, and contagious.  She had a vast collection of Noah’s Ark stuff and she loved fancy food.  She enjoyed playing cards, but rarely won.  Kathy worked in the clothing department of Shopko in Fort Atkinson and also at Alden Estates as a housekeeper.  She enjoyed her time at both places and made many friends while working.  Kathy was a longtime member of Busseyville Community Church and the Jefferson Optimist Club and She will be remembered for the caring spirit and a desire to put others before herself.

She is survived by: her husband Larry Kiesling of Fort Atkinson; children Andy (Carley) Kiesling of Madison, Matt (Christine) Kiesling of Milwaukee, and Liz (Poca Gonzalez) Kiesling of Milwaukee; grandchildren Angeline, William, Payton, Emma, Joey, Jarrett, and Justin; and her brother Marvin (Loraine) Rogge.  She is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers John and Pete.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00PM on Friday, July 19, 2019 at the Olsen-Gibson Funeral Home of Jefferson with Pastor Kellen Roggenbuck presiding.  Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial at Union Cemetery will take place at a later date.
