Edward L. Sufka

Edward L. Sufka, 72 of Whitewater, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Alden Estates of Jefferson.

Eddy was born on March 22, 1947 in Harvard, IL, the son of Frank and Eva (Deegan) Sufka.  His family lived in Bigfoot, IL for a short time and later moved to Delevan, WI during Eddy’s youth.  He worked at many jobs throughout his life but was a long-time employee at Hillside Cemetery in Whitewater until his retirement in 2009.  He was an avid fisherman, loved to go on bike rides and would help his friends with any project - only expecting a meal as payment.  Road trips with his friends were also a favorite activity.  “Fasteddy” (as he was known) was a simple, hardworking man who was a reliable and dedicated friend.  Even though he didn’t have much money in his pockets, he lived and shared as if her were a millionaire.  Edward L. Sufka will be dearly missed.

He is survived by a number of cousins and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John and sisters Thelma, Irma, and Elva.

A private graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery of Whitewater.
